SOFTWARE FOR GLASS

“A great showcase for our new products…”

For Clear Thinking Software, the provider of software solutions for the glass and glazing industry GP&T proved a very positive arena this year. The contemporary stand attracted many visitors throughout the exhibition with numerous leads generated.

Building on the success of the company’s flagship product Glass Office, Clear Thinking Software received substantial interest at this year’s show with the new options in the glass software range proving popular. These included the ‘call-off order’ or ‘part delivery’ solution which gained much interest from both existing and prospective customers who visited the stand.

Without doubt this was considered the most successful exhibition for the company this year so far, with a significant number of brand new prospects showing interest some of whom had previously been in negotiations with smaller competitors. However, the efficiency of the software and its competitive pricing proved to be extremely attractive to those visiting the stand at the show.

With interest in the company’s software solutions growing significantly, management at the company considered attendance at the exhibition of vital importance as it provided the ideal arena in which to demonstrate in-depth product information and technical data that will help to improve production output.

Other new options in the range on exhibit included the GlasSave Optimiser which provides production monitoring and a new suite of management reports that run in real time. The GlasSave optimiser has been designed to produce cutting diagrams and labels to enable glass orders to be cut from stock sheets.

Optimisation can be developed to suit individual production methods via direct links to most automatic glass cutting tables, spacer benders and saws, ensuring factories can be run more efficiently. For the more advanced user, shape cutting and nesting is also available on cutting tables with this facility, therefore any shape can be cut, from a regular shape within the Clear Thinking Software shape library to a unique DXF CAD shape.

The software package has been developed to handle any order from quotation stage through to scheduling and production as well as invoice and warranty.

Malcolm Searle, Managing Director, Clear Thinking Software comments, ‘As the market expands and customers diversify their product range, it is imperative that we offer appropriate software solutions that are reliable and relevant to that sector. GP&T seemed the logical platform to release the new software range and it proved extremely successful for us.’
